The courses are very picturesque and our great coastline provides some fantastic vantage points for spectators. There's always lots of locals & visitors chasing the canoes by land in the Round the ROCK 26km marathon.
Norfolk offers lots to do if you're not paddling, plus it's very family friendly, so bring the tribe. Partners & kids packs are available to tag along to the social gatherings.
We look forward to welcoming you to Norfolk Island for the next NOC the Rock!
NOC - Norfolk Ocean Challenge and to all our wonderful sponsors who have made this event happen. Without the valuable sponsorship to purchase the canoes and the freight to get them to Norfolk Island, the NOC really would be still just a dream. We ask all paddlers, partners, family and friends to support our sponsors and assist in providing them a return on their generous goodwill.
Any crews who would like to register their interest can do so here
Important Crew information: AOCRA have advised that a crew of 6 to 9 names can be put down as competitors, this way the crews can be mixed up a little and you will also have reserves.
IMPORTANT: To qualify for race entry, paddlers must book through Norfolk Island Travel Centre and stay at one of the sponsor properties. If paddlers book your own flights and accommodation they will not be permitted to enter the race. These conditions of entry are in line with the sponsorship agreements the local NIWOC club has with their sponsors, all of which who have paid upfront over $10,000 to enable the purchase and import of canoes.
